Leaveleaf legal

Privacy Policy.

Last updated: September 29, 2026

Leave Leaf is a personal space for changing your relationship with cannabis. We understand that your answers, check-ins, and notes can be sensitive. This policy explains how Sergey Kaplichnyi, operating as Leave Leaf ("we," "us," or "our"), handles information when you use our iPhone app or leaveleafapp.com(the "Service"). Questions or privacy requests can be sent to leaveleaf@kaplich.me.

The short version

  • Your goals, cannabis-use entries, reasons, personal anchor, notes, spending estimate, and journey history are intended to stay on your iPhone for the app's core features. You do not need a Leave Leaf account.
  • Apple processes App Store purchases. RevenueCat helps the app recognize your subscription and receives purchase-related information and an app-specific identifier; your check-in answers and notes are not sent to RevenueCat for this purpose.
  • Optional reminders require notification permission. You can turn them off in iPhone Settings.
  • If you email us or sign up for website updates, we receive the information you choose to send.
  • We do not sell your cannabis-use entries or use them for targeted advertising.

1. Information handled by the app

Information you enter. The app may hold your goal (quit or use less), planned weed-free days, start or last-use date, check-in answers, feelings and notes if you add them, reasons for change, your personal "make room for" response, preferred reminder time, estimated monthly cannabis spending, and dates or history needed to display progress and Scenes. These entries can reveal sensitive information about your habits and wellbeing. Optional answers can be skipped where the interface allows it.

Information calculated by the app. The app uses your entries to show days in a row or weed-free days collected, progress toward a weekly goal, Scenes, and an estimated amount saved if you provide spending information. Savings are estimates, not a financial record. The app may display supportive text based on your answers.

Purchases. When you subscribe or restore a purchase, Apple handles payment and provides subscription status and transaction information. We use RevenueCat to help validate purchases and provide access. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, transaction and subscription details, and technical information needed to operate its service. We do not receive your full payment-card number from Apple.

Notifications. If you allow reminders, the app uses your chosen schedule and Apple's notification system to show them. You can change your choice in the app, where available, or in iPhone Settings. Notification text may be visible to someone with access to your locked screen, depending on your iPhone settings.

Messages to us. If you email us for support or a privacy request, we receive your address and whatever you include. Please avoid sending detailed cannabis-use or health information unless it is needed to address your request.

2. Information handled by the website

When you visit the website, the hosting service may receive basic technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, and timestamps to deliver and secure the site. If you voluntarily submit an email address to receive launch or product updates, we use it for those updates and to handle unsubscribes. Each marketing email should offer an unsubscribe method; you can also email us to opt out. Website analytics or cookies, if added, must be disclosed here before they are used.

3. Where the information goes

The app's personal entries described above are designed to be stored locally on your device, rather than in a Leave Leaf account. Apple's device backup settings may separately include app data in an iPhone or iCloud backup. We do not control those settings; consult your iPhone's backup controls.

Apple and RevenueCat process purchase-related information so subscriptions work. Our website host and email provider, if used, process website or email data to provide those services. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or security, or in connection with a business transfer, subject to applicable law. We do not disclose your app entries to advertising networks for behavioral targeting.

Third-party services handle information under their own terms and privacy notices, including Apple's privacy policy and RevenueCat's privacy policy.

4. Why we use information

We use information to deliver the features you request, maintain subscription access, respond to support requests, send optional reminders and opted-in email updates, protect the Service, and comply with applicable obligations. In places that require a legal basis for processing, the basis may be performance of our agreement with you, your consent for optional communications or permissions, our legitimate interest in security and support, or a legal obligation, as appropriate. Where sensitive data requires additional permission, we will obtain it if required by law.

5. Your choices, deletion, and retention

You can skip optional onboarding questions, turn off notifications, manage your App Store subscription through Apple, and unsubscribe from marketing emails. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by emailing leaveleaf@kaplich.me. Your rights depend on where you live, and we may need to verify a request before acting on it.

Your app entries remain on your device until you remove or reset them using available app or iPhone controls. Deleting the app normally removes its local data from that device, but a device backup may retain a copy under Apple's settings. Because we do not have a Leave Leaf account containing your local entries, we generally cannot retrieve or delete them remotely. App deletion does not cancel an App Store subscription.

We keep support emails and opted-in mailing-list data for as long as needed to respond or send the requested updates, unless you ask us to delete them or a longer period is required by law. Purchase-related records may be retained by Apple, RevenueCat, and us as needed to provide access, meet legal obligations, and handle disputes. Contact us for help with a request involving purchase-related data; Apple may require a separate request for data it controls.

6. Security and international processing

We use reasonable safeguards for information we control, but no device, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your iPhone with a passcode and consider what appears in notification previews. Apple, RevenueCat, and website or email providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use applicable safeguards for international transfers.

7. Children

Leave Leaf is intended for adults 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 through the Service. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will address it as required by law.

8. Changes and contact

We may revise this policy as features or data practices change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice where required. A change in data practices should be reflected in the app's disclosures as well as this page.
